The Funky Doctors were formed in Spring 2006 by band leader and session drummer Liam Hardwick with the one goal – of forming the funkiest and most professional Funk, Soul party band in the UK.
Since then, The Funky Doctors have performed at hundreds of events and have gained the reputation of the number one function band in the North-West, wowing audiences and packing dance-floors all over the UK.
The Funky Doctors are made up of 8 of the UK’s finest session musicians who have between them appeared at Live Earth, Glastonbury, Leeds & Reading festivals, Cork & Montreaux Jazz Festivals and aboard luxury cruise liners. The band comprises a powerhouse rhythm section of Hammond Organ, Guitar, Bass and Drums, and our funky horn section of Trumpet, Tenor Sax and Bari Sax. The band is fronted by our talented front man who’s range and versatility is second to none! The band also provide close harmony backing vocals to support Herbie!
